My DH has just called me childish for wanting to watch icarly on TV with DS.

I like watching TV with DS, spongebob and icarly are our fav's.

I think some of the cartoons and shows are more intreasting than some for adults eg Eastenders!

So AIBU to like watching TV with DS or is DH unreasonable for calling my childish?

YABU for liking spongebob and not eastenders.
YANBU for liking childrens shows I like Disney films [shame].

Dp calls me childish for liking harry potter books I tell him I don't dictate what he reads, I also read LOTR and lots of other heavy books just like a light one now and then.

slushy I love the Harry Potter books. My sister and I always had copies reserved ready for the day they came out and tickets booked for the premier showings of the films. Although the books were far better than the film.

I like Disney shows. HM is okay. I can sit and watch that with dd1 and I love Wizards of Waverly Place.

Dh loves Scooby Doo and Sponge Bob.

I love Wizards of Waverly Place as well. It's nice to sit and take an interest in what your children are watching.

YANBU, if you don't mind watching with your dcs good for you. Personally I can't stand 99% of the children's programmes but I have forced myself to watch a few just to keep up when they start talking about their favourite characters.

The only programme I enjoy is Deadly 60 on CBBC - entertaining, informative and well presented.

belindarose · 01/07/2010 09:49

I'm addicted to 'Big Barn Farm'.

Gastronuts is another one that I actually do enjoy watching.

But the majority of children's programmes are shockingly bad.
