to not answer threads where there's an obvious answer?

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 05/06/2010 22:05

or where I've answered similar threads many, many times before?

OP posts:
tethersend · 05/06/2010 22:14

I love the ones where they are clearly not being unreasonable... "AIBU to think Hitler was not a very nice man?"

Where's the discussion?

Oh, and YANBU.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 05/06/2010 22:17

I just wonder why?? My life's just too short to sit here and reply. I do feel bad, but also apathetic.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 05/06/2010 22:18

lol, saw this earlier and was kind of hoping that no-one would answer

I sometimes type out a reply and then scrub it for the same reasons....

PortiaNovmerriment · 05/06/2010 22:19

Or stupid ones like "AIBU to think genocide is wrong?", where the OP ends the paragraph with "I can't be the only one, surely?"

JaxTellersOldLady · 05/06/2010 22:19

same here lackadaisycal, sometimes I just think, whats the bloody point? and delete delete delete.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 05/06/2010 22:21

I'm so pleased that I am not alone. I was starting to feel a bit bad.

mumbar · 05/06/2010 22:25

YADNBU

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 05/06/2010 22:29

Say two vodka and cokes before you go to bed mumbar.

OP posts:
mumbar · 05/06/2010 22:31

can I say it while swallowing them?? If so cheers everyone

bibbitybobbityhat · 05/06/2010 22:36

Yanbu.

Have also long since given up posting my opinions on

home birth vs hospital birth
ear piercing in babies
dogs around children
nice places to go in Britanny
how often do you change your sheets/towels (this one has been done about 300 times now, no exaggeration)
best maternity pads (wtf?)

and given up giving my advice on

controlled crying
smelly washing machines
getting a three year old to stay in bed
potty training

But I just hide the threads rather than get cross about them.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 05/06/2010 22:42

I'm not cross, just apathetic.

OP posts:
lilolilmanchester · 05/06/2010 22:46

sorry Belle, had to laugh, cos I think there is a very obvious answer to your OP!!! But do know what you mean, just ironic that I think you just posted one yourself!

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 05/06/2010 22:47

Yeah, I know I may set off a few tonight and see what happens

I left my DC in the car alone today at the petrol station, he had his Greggs sausage roll and fruit shoot to keep him busy. Then I popped to the hairdressers while he had his nap (it was only a cut and colour) then I went to see my MIL and her staffie/rottweiler cross.

I'm now at the pub across the road, babes is fast asleep in his cot (for now at least) and the monitor has great reception so its fine.

Kaloki · 06/06/2010 00:54

YANBU at all

At least you aren't going into threads like that and posting about how bored of them you are. That drives me nuts.

cornsilkcottagecheese · 06/06/2010 00:55

My MIL gave my ds chcolate buttons.
Then a drip feed...
ds is 15
he mugged granny for the chocolate buttons 'cos he's never been allowed anything except tripe

they were actually carob and lentil weavery

TheNextMrsDepp · 06/06/2010 01:03

Oh tee hee Boys2mam !

I suppose you can leave such threads to those who are relatively new to MN and still get fired up about such subjects.

Boys2mam · 06/06/2010 01:08

Absolutely.

I'm far too busy - My wedding is next year and I have sooooo many invites to send out exclaiming "No Children Allowed" and arranging childcare for my children for the month I am away on my honeymoon.

TheNextMrsDepp · 06/06/2010 01:11

Well, I don't know what to say. Shocked and appalled.

Boys2mam · 06/06/2010 01:13

Why is that Mrs Depp?

TheNextMrsDepp · 06/06/2010 01:17

Not taking your kids on honeymoon?? Do you mean to tell me they were born......out of wedlock?????

Boys2mam · 06/06/2010 01:24

Heeee heeee heee...

...I been rumbled. I'm off to bed now to my (real and wonderful) DP.

Though LL Cool J is making me happeeeeeeeeee

TheNextMrsDepp · 06/06/2010 01:27

I'm about to crash too. G'night all.
