People across the road and down a bit are having a party. The music is so loud I feel like my house is shaking, the bin is being filled - loudly - with bottles every 10 minutes. Most seem to be outside, and talking very loudly, probably to be heard over the music, it's raining FGS.

Am I being miserable?

I'm tired!!!

It's Saturday night. Is this a regular occurance ? Or are they having a Eurovision party ? If it's Eurovision, YANBU. If's it's a one off birthday/anniversary/end of exams party, YABU

But I can't sleep

Ihaveabsolutelynoideawhatpartyitis It is most definately a Eurovison party.

It's the only house that ever has parties, that are this loud anyway.. maybe one every couple of months.

Call 22 22 22 and the community police can pop round and have a word.

KodakTheBat · 29/05/2010 23:02

I'd feel like a right cow for doing that! What time should they be turning it down a bit?

KodakTheBat · 29/05/2010 23:05

we're not neighbours are we!!! Mine had a habit of doing that. I tried local police and then called letting agents until I found the ones they rented from. Bit mean I know but being polite just didn't work!!

BTW with all the complaints (from 10 diff flats/.houses) and police reorts they got evicted.

KodakTheBat · 29/05/2010 23:07

Someones beaten me to it

Tis only early so maybe a BU?

I never hesitate to contact the local authority and never feel bad for doing it. our neighbours are or shall I say were very noisy, always playing their music too loud. First time I politely asked them to turn it down and they were rude so I just reported them twice to our local authority and the received a final warning. Needless to say they havent done it again and they certainly dont talk to me which I am fine about

YABU - If the post timings are accurate. Anything before midnight is ok at the weekends if its only every now and then - and I say that as someone who is up again at 5:30am
