To be a swot and redo my work?

At college I have been put into a group of 3 people. To be fair, I seem to be the only one in the group that is actually taking this seriously. Now in our group we had to collect info on 5 different food groups and do a presentation. So what happened is, the other two just went on the net and literally copied and pasted, printed 3 versions on each and that's it - done. No exactly what the teacher had in mind but when I voiced my concerns the teacher said "don't worry about it, we're already behind, just use what they printed off and we'll start something else next week".

I'm a bit of a perfectionist with my work however and I dont want 5 jumbled up bits of paper being handed in as my assignment. So I'm re-doing the full thing on my own. I know this is not going to go down well with the other two girls but I just cant hand in a load of copied and pasted crap as my work.

AIBU to be a swot? I know they'll think I'm a snob but should I care?

Do your work the way you want - what's the point otherwise, why bother? You need to feel that you've done it to the best of your ability and tbh your teacher sounds like a bit of a lazybones too!

Is there one assignment hand-in per group? If so, then I don't think you should change the others work. It will be obvious to the marker that one person made the effort and the others didn't. But you can't change what they did any more than they should change what you did.

You're not handing in the crap as "your work" it's the team's work.

this is all about your learning. Do whatever you think you need to do to learn best. Don't sacrifice the quality of your learning to staying in with the other girls. Swots rule!

Its basically an assignment we were meant to all contribute to but the other two took over it and printed out these bits of paper and left me with one to do by myself. So I'm happy with my own, but not with the ones they printed out so whilst they'll get to keep their copies, I'll just redo it so its presented in the same way as my other one is (i.e. not copied and pasted off the net!)

It won't inpact them tbh, it will just make me feel better about my own assignment.

You know what really scared me / pissed me off? Doing a group based assignment for a post-grad course with a teacher in my group, who openly admitted he'd just copied and pasted from the web. A teacher

You do whatever you want - the tutor will know perfectly well who's done what.

As long as you reference correctly and use trustworthy sources, then I don't see the problem in c&ping from the webYABU.

At least the other students did actually do something -
