to cough in public

Have a nasty cough but feeling OK. Was at bus stop with DD and couldn't help coughing loudly..covering mouth of course.

This man stopped, turned round and gave me the filthiest look on earth, if looks could kill I would be dead, as if to say "you rude woman"

So..should I be staying in until I stop coughing like I have consumption?

I coughed into whatever I could reach..was clinging on to DD who has low muscle tone and was flopping down on the ground as well.

Maybe he thought I was wrestling my 3 year old daughter.

Feel oK really, got antibiotics.

dd is 14 months and has had a cough for 2 months... she has an inhalor but we cant shift this cough (dr said she is too young for asthma)

you should see the looks we get when she starts in public... if i could stop it then i bloody would, i'm not taking her out ill, shes fine apart from the cough!! i'm sick of the "awwww, poor baby, are you poorlysick?"

I have a bad cough at the moment, my Asthma is playing up. And i always seem to want to cough when i get to the counter of a shop lol. I feel so rude that i have to cough as if im trying to get their attention lol

Actually I think the man today thought I was being sick in the street, that's how this cough sounds.
