I usually quite enjoy the free-for-all skirmishing that sometimes occurs on here (I read more than post)

I was wondering though, if the name of the forum wasn't "Am I Being Unreasonable", would it reach the same levels of robust bitching? I've come to the conclusion it probably wouldn't... say, if it was called 'Have Your Say' or 'Make Your Point'...

Saying that, AIBU is the equivalent of 'Opinion' over on another site I use, and the fights over there can be spectacular (not as spectacular as here though) Although the moderation's been tightened up so much now you can't even type the word 'feck'. Not 'fuck'. FECK.

At least when you get told you are being unreasonable in AIBU, you find people will either accept your judgement or might come around to see other viewpoints.
If it was called make your point, I think it would be far nastier; as at least if someone has posed the question Am I Being Unreasonable, if they piss you off and you don't want a fight, you just need to type YABU or YANBU and walk away.
If it's make your point, then there are no metaphorical constraints and it could lead to a worse free-for-all than is usual.
