well, my mother's in particular.

She's on the phone to my sister moaning about "oh, I haven't sat down all day... I've had so much to do and no-one helps me" yadda yadda

The FACTS are that she got up at 11am, dressed at 11 30, did a bit of gardening, some tidying and then from 2pm til about 10 minutes ago was out having a manicure.

but, you know - she's not sat down All Day!

She sounds lonely.

lonely? nah, she just likes making out she's hard done by...

What's going on LF, is your mum staying with you at the moment? She seems to be driving you up the wall

I'm staying with her - but not for much longer

she insisted I moved back in for a while (but then moans I've been here a month.... even though she said she wanted me to stay.....)

Ugh there's a girl at work who is a complete martyr, drives me round the bend.

That sounds like a really bad idea, LF. I couldn't stay with my mum for more than a weekend, lovely as she is.

Why don't you just move back to your own house? Are you having work done?

Yanbu, I know exactly what you mean.
I have a ds like this, everyone else in the world has it easier than her and she's very fragile( or as I like to call it mad as a bag of snakes) which makes visiting an absolute joy!

YANBU people like that drive me crazy. My lovely Irish auntie has a fabulous retort for martyrs "Oh for heavens sake get off the cross we need the wood."
