to ignore my cat...

..yowling for his tea when he has obviously eaten an entire, very large, squirrel.

Proof being the very long bushy tail with just one leg and one internal organ still attached- left on my kitchen floor!

he wants his pudding

TootaLaFruit · 28/04/2010 18:32

YANBU - tell him to finish it up if he wants breakfast tmrw.

Jux · 28/04/2010 18:32

But before he had the squirrel, he hadn't eaten for weeeeeeeeks (that's what our cat tells us, anyway).

TomScavo · 28/04/2010 18:33

if he was my cat...he would be yowling outside. I would be very cross with him indeed! Naughty cat!

fruitshootsandheaves · 28/04/2010 18:34

Maybe it was road kill and he was tidying it up but thought you'd like the tail for a flag for your motorbike.

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 28/04/2010 18:34

Are you sure he has eaten the squirrel and not just brought it in to show you and try and claim credit ?

Tinnitus · 28/04/2010 18:37

You realize that this sort of rebellion is not why the cat keeps you around....

Milliways · 28/04/2010 18:38

I have thrown water over him before when I catch him fighting with squirrels (They nest our shed roof).

He is a very loveable but huge beast who does love to hunt. He eats those Huge wood pigeons regularly but left me an untouched (but at least dead) enormous RAT one day.

I gave in, and he has just polished off his felix as well.

You're weak, the cat knows it and approves.

BabsH · 28/04/2010 18:42

He's just leaving you a lovely present and expects his reward!

SimonCowellIsSatan · 28/04/2010 19:04

He's not eaten it. The rest of is in your bed. He's trying to tell you if you don't feed him this instant then you're next!

saintlydamemrsturnip · 28/04/2010 19:05

OH MY GOD!

We had a chomped blackbird and I thought that was bad enough.

Milliways · 28/04/2010 20:22

Our cat brought in a perfect beautiful bird's egg this afternoon. It was completely unharmed and still warm. I have put it in the airing cupboard, wondering how to hatch it (and am trying to persuade dd's school to take it on as a project).

A squirrel tail would be easier. DD wouldn't be nagging me into catching worms and beetles to feed the future hatchling - and I wouldn't be worried about scrambling it in the meantime.

My mum's huge black and white fellow took out a seagull. and another time he got a male blackbord from the middle of a flock of them on the ground!

He was stalked for weeks by the birds after that one.
