to worry about feeding her

So i went out on my first night out since having my daughter over a year ago last night and went abit overboard. Havnt drank in over 2 years and oncei had one i got a little squiffy and ended up drinking afew cocktails.

I feel absolutely awful now and wish i had never even had one drink.

I stopped drinking at about half 11 and havnt breastfed since.

My daugters over one and im just wondering how long i should wait.

If i wait till about 11 tonight that will be almost 24 hours will it be safe to feed?

You would have been fine feeding her this morning - a very, very small % of alcohol gets into your breast milk anyway. See kellymom for more info but for god's sake go and breastfeed your poor baby!

I did have a few drinks thought earlier on i had a glass of wine with my mum and then ended up having a fewcocktails which are a few unitseach from what iv been obsessively reading on the net over the last few hours.

Im not a drinker havnt touched a drop and dont intend to again for a long time i feel so crap now

you are probably fine to feed already. Alcohol leaves milk at the same rate it leaves the blood so you should be ok by now.

thenightwalker - did you read LadyBiscuit's post? It's fine, go and feed your baby. You're catastrophising hugely here - probably your hangover speaking, making you feel all doomy when there's no need.

just fed her.. relieved huge engorged boobs and content sleeping baby. Thankyou girls feel much better now.
