To call the police about this?

Was partaking of my daily waddle around the local park when I heard very loud minibus drive up to the football pitches, 3 guys get out and start swinging on fence posts and panels, remove them, and put them into the back of minibus and leave. I thought that they were up to no good so I phoned local police station.

I now feel slightly foolish as I couldn't give police any useful information as I was other side of park so couldn't get license number/ descriptions etc. Plus I feel like a nosey neighbour nety curtain twitcher sort of person. Did I do bad?

You did the right thing.

Personally I think you would be doing your community an injustice if you didn't, although may of been more beneficial to get extra details! Don't feel bad more people need to stand up to the scum!

Why on earth would anybody steal fence posts? Think you did the right thing.

FacePalm · 15/04/2010 15:42

dont ask me why anyone would steal fence posts! But I had my fence posts, gate and bins all stolen in the couple of years we managed to actually stay at our last house before we gave up! We had only had the ruddy fence in about 4 months too!!

You did the right thing.

YOu did the right thing. Some people will steal anything, even if it IS nailed down.
