to really and truly wish death on this person?

If I had a magic wand I would wave it and wish the most awful death I could think of on the person that kicked to death my neighbours two year old Jack Russell yesterday. He ran off through the bushes, my neighbour followed and in the couple of miuntes the dog was out of sight he was kicked/bludgeoned to death. Police have been informed but are not hopeful.

Honestly, some people should just die.

I understand that you are very angry. What happened to the dog was disgusting. I hope the person is caught, sadly I doubt it, but I hope.

However, wishing someone dead is a very extreme thing.

dizzydixies · 02/04/2010 17:33

animal cruelty is among the highest form of cruelty and trust me, the police whilst not hopeful will feel as sick about it as you do

your poor poor neighbours

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 17:42

YANBU. If I saw someone doing this I'd attack them and make no apologies for that. A dog was battered to death in my area recently, a witness said she heard a dog screaming in pain but couldn't even be arsed to investigate. Stupid stupid useless bitch

TrillianAstra · 02/04/2010 17:48

YABU to wish death on anyone. Ever.

yogabird · 02/04/2010 17:49

of course you are being unreasonable: is it very sad about the dog? yes, an awful thing to do? yes, needs to be caught and punished? yes. Deserves to die - no, no, no. Keep it in perspective! Would it be worse if a child had been kicked to death? Yes, so how would your magic wand deal with a child-killer?

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 17:51

Well TBH decent people die all the time, I'd spare one of those for this piece of shit

cananybodyhelp · 02/04/2010 17:53

YANBU - someone who could do this to a young dog could easily go on to do the same to a human being. A life is a life. There is something intrinsically missing in people like this IMO.

BuzzingNoise · 02/04/2010 17:54

YANBU. Yes, sadly, good people die all the time, but whoever did this is not a good person at all in my books.

BuzzingNoise · 02/04/2010 17:54

BTW, HarderToKidnap, great name!

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 17:55

Waste of oxygen if you ask me.

HerBeatitude · 02/04/2010 17:57

FGS you sound like a nob.

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 17:58

Who does

unfitmother · 02/04/2010 17:59

Bit over the top perhaps?

OrmRenewed · 02/04/2010 18:00

Vile! I wouldn't wish death on them, but a slightly painful and preferably embarrassing illness. Just for a few months.

Joolyjoolyjoo · 02/04/2010 18:01

Did your neighbour see/ hear someone kicking/ bludgeoning dog to death? Just that it seems quite a strange thing to have happened in a couple of minutes- could the dog have been hit by a car/ bike instead?

FabIsGettingThere · 02/04/2010 18:02

So the dog ran off and someone happened to be the other side of the bush and just kicked it to death?

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 18:02

What's over the top wishing death on someone that evil?

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 02/04/2010 18:44

' A dog was battered to death in my area recently, a witness said she heard a dog screaming in pain but couldn't even be arsed to investigate. Stupid stupid useless bitch'

Junglist

My grandad chased some boys who stole a neighbour's tortoise and was promptly pelted with bricks. Intervention is not always the most sensible option.

To the op, this is horrific, absolutely horrid.
But I don't believe in capital punishment so imo yabu, although I understand your emotions are running high.

HarderToKidnap · 02/04/2010 18:46

Actually, I don't believe in state sponsored capital punishment either. However, me and my magic wand, I DO believe in.

Omfg! The poor dog I am so sad for it

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 18:48

Like I said, stupid useless bitch. She aided and abetted the dogs death. But some people don't give a shit about animals so...

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 02/04/2010 18:58

Did you not read my post, junglist?
Intervening is not always the best option and can put you at risk from harm yourself, particularly if the situation involves people so sick they could batter a dog to death.
I have told my grandparents that I really do not want them to investigate any further incidents as I worry for their safety.

shockers · 02/04/2010 18:58

Hateful and pointless.
I hope it died quickly and didn't suffer too much. I understand your strength of feeling and I would advocate a life sentence for anyone who causes death to an animal in a mindless act like this.

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 19:02

Well I'm not elderly and can handle myself far better than a dog. The elderly would be better off getting the police on to it. The woman in this case was my age. She heard the dog scream and strolled to her friends house, then on the way back found the body and now dares to act like she gave a crap . Also there were witnesses who saw the man dragging the dog down the towpath. Not one of them questionned it. It's just vile

Alouiseg · 02/04/2010 19:05

Were there witnesses? Do we know who the man is?

I want him hung, drawn and quartered the callous prick.
