to really and truly wish death on this person?

If I had a magic wand I would wave it and wish the most awful death I could think of on the person that kicked to death my neighbours two year old Jack Russell yesterday. He ran off through the bushes, my neighbour followed and in the couple of miuntes the dog was out of sight he was kicked/bludgeoned to death. Police have been informed but are not hopeful.

Honestly, some people should just die.

OP - YANBU. People who abuse the helpless (be they elderly, pets, whatever) should pay, and thinking that this happens through the justice system may be a bit naieve. I'd also volunteer to deliver said punishment.

Have read some of the posts...I am with Junglist, and would definitely be stepping in as well. Not particularly concerned for my own potential injury (also a martial arts background, interesting), but would be concerned for my sanity if I were to do nothing as it would eat me up. (fwiw, I would and have also intervened for both humans and animals).

It's about the animal being helpless, the attacker isn't. If he's so tough, then let him try his kicking (insert relevant attack) on someone who can defend themselves.
