to really and truly wish death on this person?

If I had a magic wand I would wave it and wish the most awful death I could think of on the person that kicked to death my neighbours two year old Jack Russell yesterday. He ran off through the bushes, my neighbour followed and in the couple of miuntes the dog was out of sight he was kicked/bludgeoned to death. Police have been informed but are not hopeful.

Honestly, some people should just die.

These things haunt me they really do

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 02/04/2010 19:08

Look, I don't want to get involved in a scrap about this, but saying the witness was in some way responsible is rubbish. Plenty of young people have been attacked trying to intervene in a crime, just recently a man was stabbed to death after chasing a mugger.

Save your vitriol for the people that deserve it.

charley24 · 02/04/2010 19:08

YANBU - I would like to do the same thing to the person who killed my cat a few days ago with their car and if they had known about it and just drove off without even stopping to help or see who he belonged too

So sorry for your friends dog, hope they catch the people involved and they are beaten too !

PussinJimmyChoos · 02/04/2010 19:08

I'm sorry but its a well known thing that people who kill others, often start with cruelty to animals. Beating a defenseless animal to death is inexusable and does not bode well for the future

No loss to society if this bastard was hung I say!

SMacK · 02/04/2010 19:11

I dont understand the OP. Where was your neighbour? Why was he/she not with her dog?

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 19:11

She didn't even call the police, nothing. Zilch. IMO, as someone that would get involved, that's low. The dog could have been saved if she acted, bottom line.

AliGrylls · 02/04/2010 19:13

Isn't harm to animals meant to be indicative of psychopathic tendencies? It is animals now and then what next?

Anyone who can harm an animal is capable of harming a human and should be dealt with harshly.

I like the idea of a magic wand.

justallovertheplace · 02/04/2010 19:14

yabu
and waaaaaaay too dramatic.

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 02/04/2010 19:14

Poor thing.

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 02/04/2010 19:16

The dog was already screaming in pain by the time she knew about it, the police wouldn't have arrived in time to save the dog, although I agree she should have called them.

As I said, I don't agree with capital punishment, 'beatings' as retribution or any other similar medieval punishments. However I would like to see people like this deprived of their liberty for a long long time.

SMacK · 02/04/2010 19:16

I don't have any sympathy. If the dog was not under control it should have been on a lead. If it can display upredictable behaviour like that, it is also capable of attack. I have no idea whether the attack was vindictive or in defence, but this is a very sad lesson for your irresponsible dog owner friend.

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 19:17

What's dramatic is a dog being beaten to death. I don't understand these responses. Animals feel pain and fear, they're not robots

justallovertheplace · 02/04/2010 19:17

what's dramatic is the statement that 'some people should just die'
because that makes the OP more reasonable than them doesn't it

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 19:18

SMacK, er, what??

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 19:20

Well the OP isn't actually killing anyone. I wouldn't kill whoever did it either but wouldn't shed a tear for it, that's for sure. My compassion is reserved for the innocent

Are you some kind of psycho? the poor dog!

it has feelings and as far as we know has done nothing wrong, I loathe cruelty to any living thing.

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 19:24

I wouldn't leave my children in the care of anyone who was cruel to animals or explicitly advocates their abuse. Hope you don't work with children Smack

TheFallenMadonna · 02/04/2010 19:26

The dog ran off and within two minutes someone who just happened to be passing had kicked it to death?

SMacK · 02/04/2010 19:27

I am sad for the dog, that it suffered due to the fact that it's owner didn't train it properly, or look after it by keeping it on a lead until it's behaviour was under control.

There is nothing on this thread that explains why it was kicked though. A lot of people are frightened of dogs, due to the irresponsible behaviour of dog owners such as the one described in the OP. It may well have been a real act of defence or a perceived one. It could also have been a vindictive attack of course and if so I do wish the person responsible some kind of misfortnue. However, we don't know which of these it is. What we DO know is that the owner was not in control of his/her dog and that the incident would not have happend if he/she was!

BuzzingNoise · 02/04/2010 19:27

Ali, you're right. I used to work with young offenders, and we were told to report any mention of harm to animals because of the reason you state.

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 02/04/2010 19:30

Alouiseg

'I loathe cruelty to any living thing'

I refer you to you earlier post
'I want him hung, drawn and quartered the callous prick'

It is possible to feel horror and anger and sadness about situations like this without calling for violence or claiming witnesses are 'stupid bitches' who should have prevented the attack.

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 19:31

It was a jack russell though. I can't imagine someone who could kick a dog till it died being scared of a Jack Russell

junglist1 · 02/04/2010 19:33

Look, that woman was useless. She didn't give a toss. How anyone can allow a dog to die I don't know. And she didn't even see it, she only heard a dog screaming and couldn't even be arsed to check it out. It's vile!!
