Actually we are going to take dd to the zoo then I'm going round the shops.

Weather is too crap to do exactly what I want.

What's your perfect bday treat?

My perfect birthday would involve a lay in, shopping and lovely food not prepared by me.

Oh and the dc's brought to me at 6.30pm bathed and ready for bed so I could kiss them whilst drinking a martini. Yes - I clearly wish I was a victorian .

Never like that though - normally covered in dc's and recovering from 2 of their birthdays which are very close to mine.

I plan my holiday so that I'm away for my birthday. Last two birthdays have been spent on the beach

I'd go for lie-in, bit of gentle pootling round the shops (on my own!!) then home to a beautifully cooked dinner, freshly-bathed children, a clean house, being allowed to choose their bedtime story myself (no I will not read My First Animal Numbers again, DD3!) then a hot bath with a new book (purchased during shopping trip).

In reality, my birthday is just before Christmas, so I am rushing around madly trying to get things sorted for that.
