i bought a thermometer a few months ago, i dont have the packaging or reciept.. last night dd had a temp so i checked her and it said 36 and a smiley face, i didnt believe it so borrowed one from a neighbour and her temp was 40 and that was after a dose of calpol and ibuprofen (seperately obviously)

we ended up in the hospital getting her checked after another dose of calpol and dampening her etc didnt shift it

the ride out in the car did the job tho temp came down between triage and dr!

YABU to shop in Asda. God awful place. Sorry, that's not much help is it? Think you should definitely go to customer services and tell them.

AgentZigzag · 29/03/2010 18:24

I love Asda

One of the reasons I do is that if I ever need to take anything back they give a refund without question.

We took a cheapo DAB radio back we'd got from them when it broke after a year, no receipt, no packaging, and they didn't bat an eye.

mumdrivenmad · 29/03/2010 20:17

Yes definitely take it back. Asda pride themselves on their customer service, you should not have a problem.

missmoopy · 29/03/2010 21:21

Take it back, I am sure they will happily refund you.

I have wasted so much money on shit thermometers that i bit the bullet and bought £50 jobby from Braun that docs use. it is very good.
