We do breakfast in turns idea being other one gets extra hour in bed every other day. Dh turn today and even though kids didn't get up till 7:50 he still shouted at me and told me to get up! I never and in the end ds and dd got him up! I got up shortly after as we supposed to go swimming lessons. It being that time of the month I asked if he could get in water with dd but he said he feeling sick, took alcaselta (sp) and went back to bed!

I'm p'd off cos shoulda been my lie in and again I never got one but he gets to swan off back to bed!! He could have looked after dd and I could have taken ds who is in on his own so he didn't miss out but when I suggested this he said no he was going back to bed!

Aibu??

your dh sounds an arse. at least if he has gone back to bed, you won't have to look at him.

you are welcome.

Sometimes looking at it from a different angle makes all the difference.

is he hungover if he needs an alkaseltzer?

NettiespagettisMiniEggs · 28/03/2010 10:34

Well he gets to do TWO lie-ins next weekend then.....

JavaBean247 · 28/03/2010 11:33

He does sound like an arse. Next time just leave him in bed and head off without him.

NettiespagettisMiniEggs · 28/03/2010 11:54

Groundhogs that would be good can't see it happening. I bet he will be expecting to stay in bed tomorrow cos he did get up this morning all be it 5min before me!

I would have gone without him but dd would not have been happy that she wasn't swimming and her brother was cos I couldn't take her this time!

Ach well just another fun morning!!

emm, he shouted at you to get up? really?

does he think you are one of the children?

well, just for that i would have stayed in bed all day. i am very stubborn though.

i hope you aren't making the dinner today after this?

sounds as though he is hungover if taking alkaseltzer. maybe better if he isn't driving to the swimming lesson.

YANBU

Your DH sounds like a selfish git. Does he often shout at you to get up instead of him?

Does he always treat you as an inferior being like this?

Wou can go in the water when you're on your period you know, you could have got in with DD if you had wanted to.

NettiespagettisMiniEggs · 28/03/2010 12:01

Am in a state of shock dd gone off to work bout half hour ago and just sent me a nice text saying he was soz feeling rubbish bout letting us all down!

feeling like crying now!! Bloody pmt! Why's it called pmt when I goes on during too?

Hope you all enjoy ur day whatever you do.

i'm moving away from this thread because i dont want to say what i think about you DH.

NettiespagettisMiniEggs · 28/03/2010 12:16

He doesn't always shout sometimes we both end up barking at each other as neither really wants to get up! He not having good morning and I suppose if feeling rotten will make it worse!

I wish we didn't do turns I would be much happier just getting up as rarely get back to sleep after waking him to tell him kids are up but he would never get up with us and kids wouldn't see him much and they love spending time with him. Also suffer from stubborn streak too!

He is very supportive at times.

Overmydeadbody I wouldn't want to risk it this time.
