" cant wait till her baby is born so she can have a life again"

She is a lovely girl, but maybe ever so slightly deluded!!

god loves an optimist.....

No, I think YABU... it might be what happens! I felt so ill during pregnancy that DD's arrival brought what seemed like wonderful bursts of time and energy and freedom!

waitingforbedtime · 22/03/2010 15:56

Depends. I was terrible in pregnancy - sick for 42 weeks, sore etc so when i had ds I felt like I had my life back (albeit in a very different form) as I could actually go out!

Hassled · 22/03/2010 15:58

Actually my fourth pregnancy was so horrific that possibly she's thinking along the right lines . Is it her first?

ChickensHaveSinisterMotives · 22/03/2010 15:59

YABU. Pregnancy was like prison for me . By contrast, never getting any sleep and being covered in someone elses vomit was practically a beach holiday.

belgo · 22/03/2010 16:02

Actually I found it easier to go out and about when my first baby was born compared to constant nausea and vomiting.

MrFlibble · 22/03/2010 16:07

It is her first and she is thinking more along the lines that she can go out drinking with the girls again. If she was severely ill with hyperemesis (or any morning sickness actually the lucky thing!) I wouldnt find it so funny.

Oh no have I just done the AIBU by stealth thing??
Gah

Well, if she's got a long line of willing babysitters, and she would want to go out drinking after the baby is born, she'll be able to.

If she can stay awake for a whole evening of course.
