To not want my kids grandparents to sleep naked with him.

My kids paternal grandparents sleep naked ok fair enough thats up to them. My kids stay at theres when they babysit and sleep over. When my son wakes up early he usually gets in their bed and dozes for a while. I don't feel comfortable that they are naked then. AIBU if I ask them to at least wear underwear? and how do I ask them without offending them?

Why wouldn't they wear jammies on days when they know their DCS are staying? Weird. I would sleep naked in summer but not with DS, nothing dodgy about it but it wouldn't be very comfortable! I don't think it's worth making a big issue of but it is weird. Are you sure they always sleep naked when your DCs are staying? Or are you just assuming since they usually do?

my son plays mummys and daddies and had nothing on and said he was going to sleep like grandad so im pretty sure they sleep naked when he is there too.

YANBU. I mean, I don't wear anything at night and DS (under 2) comes in with us in the mornings, but that's different. He's MY son.

I'd feel really wigged out if I thought the same was happening with my PIL or even my own parents (though that's less likely as he doesn't stay over there). The additional generation makes all the difference.

Each to theirs and all that, but they could at least make sure you were comfortable with it before just going right ahead. A pair of pants won't kill them.

YANBU - DH and I won't sleep naked with our DS and I certainly wouldn't be happy with DGPs doing it.

It makes me squirm too.

yeah that what I thought too could have asked first. Hmm will talk to my DH and see if he can broach the subject next time DS sleeps over.

I am a granny and although I sometimes sleep naked in Summer I would NEVER want dgc to see me like that it is not appropriate at all.

It wouldn't bother me in the slightest, actually.

But it obviously concerns you, so you just have to bite the bullet and bring it up, I guess. But be prepared for them to get a bit huffy- nobody likes the implication that they are a bit of a perv when they are in fact just acting perfectly normally in their own home.

yanbu its totally inappropriate. they shouldn't have to be told this, they should have used their common sense. personally i wouldn't really want them to stay with someone who doesn't realise this without being told, but maybe thats just me

because that is like saying it is ok for anyone to sleep naked with your child if their pubes are not grey

and that is not the point

YANBU, my hubby's parents kiss my daughter on the lips and I hate that personally! I only kiss my kids on the cheek. (Maybe I'm weird?)

But I would definitely not like them sleeping naked and her getting into bed with them at all!

You're the parent its OK if you do it, their your kids! But nobody else should IMO. Underwear at the least for sure for them.

I guess I have trusted them to do the right thing

Perhaps I should raise it at the next family gathering ?

and of course, just for the record, I will make doubly sure their pubes are not grey...
