To spend my day off reading, MNing and napping?

I don't really get days off though. am a full tme student, fitting in study, revision, dissertation, essays, work placements and extra nursey shifts to pay the bills.

i should be using today to do some work. i ahve done a bit of dissertation and some MNing.

I do plan on going for a nap shortly though.

this is a pattern for the days i don't have to go into school or work.

always a highlight of the day is a 3 hour nap. in bed.

is this a normal day off? what do normal people do when they aren't at work?

I have spent four days doing that now!

Though I am at the early tired bit of pg and on medication which made me sleep all the time anyway. You're lucky I'm awake now!

Of course you're NBU, you're being sensible. Get some rest on your days off.

I read that reading is the best way to relax and even 6 minutes is enough to cut down stress by more than two thirds. So I think you are looking after yourself

My day off is today and i have watched an old fave children's tv series on you tube, had sex, drunk copious amounts of tea, Mnetted, and read.
I spend most of the weekend cooking, cleaning, shopping, tidying, sorting out dc's social life etc.
YANBU.

not unreasonable at all

tis the best type of day IMO anyway!

EccentricaGallumbits · 26/02/2010 15:02

feel guilty for not tidying up or writing dissertation.
and TV is broken.

stop with the guilt.

do you reckon that vit K jab we supposedly get given as babies is in fact a jab of guilt trigger hormone......

what is a day off anyway, if not for resting??
