Want to see what the forecast is for the rest of the day, and so entered my location. OPtions are:
Bishop Auckland, Durham
Hartlepool, Durham
Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham
Seaham, Durham
Shotton, Durham
Sunderland, Durham

I'm in &*%^&$% Durham!!

ALso, that (picked Bishop Auckland) and weather.co.uk say no snow forecast for today, the stuff I can see out of my window must be the white mist descending then!
Didn't one of them used to do a daily forecast, 9am, noon, 3pm etc? Can't find it!

the weather on the TV is rubbish too, lots of chat, just tell us, hot/cold, wet/dry, windy/not windy.

And when they refer to the North, which bit are they talking about, the North of what Scotland ot the North West or the North East.

Simple.

YANBU! All of last week the forecast in my area for yesterday was dry with sunny spells so we planned a whole day out at a local farm with soft play etc, told the girls we were going, bougt all we needed for a picnic and it rained literally ALL DAY!!

Useless!

SPBInDisguise · 22/02/2010 09:07

aargh this is so frustrating
probably 5 more days of stuck in the house with 2 snotty DCs, probably trying to keep them under control while DH works from hiome...

BBC WEATHER HAD A 5 DAY AND A 24 HOUR Thing (sorry caps!), they are on tabs next to each other at the top of the weather list.
fecking snow - was taking ds1 to london to science museum today.

Guttersnipe · 22/02/2010 09:08

Well don't use the Met Office website either. I belief the BBC uses them. For the last couple of days, ds2 has been saying we were going to have more snow as it was forecast by whatever organisation provides the weather on wii. I checked the Met Office site - no snow forecast. What do we have today? Snow!

SPBInDisguise · 22/02/2010 09:09

Even though I had to choose somewhere I don;t live to do it

am still lol at somewhere you don't live though

Guttersnipe · 22/02/2010 09:10

The Met Office site is the one with the day split up into 3 or 4 hourly intevals, but it is so inaccurate on a daily basis so I am not sure how they could get it right on an hourly basis.

geordieminx · 22/02/2010 09:13

They couldnt predict yesterdays' weather!!!

Checked weather on Friday for the weekend - Saturday - overcast/heavy rain - we had frost then glorious sunshine

Sunday - heavy snow - we had frost then glorious sunshine again.

Fools

Also why are you in disguise??

pjmama · 22/02/2010 09:14

I use metcheck.com and they seem to be quite accurate if you want to know what the weather is doing right now! They forecast dry and bright for our area at the weekend. We had 3 inches of snow instead and now we're all stuck in with no milk

I think most of the weather forecasting over this winter has been pretty shambolic.
