i know i am BU. but i'm just in that sort of mood.

i spend every evening the same. sitting infront of the computer with the telly on and a cuppa tea beside me on me own. in between running up and down the stairs to settle dcs.
i know there are folks alot worse off so i dont expect anyone to take this seriously i'm just having a moan to break the monotony of it.

dp is in the pub.

compo · 30/01/2010 20:26

I am so happy to be in and doing nothing
it is freezin out there tonight , I went pubbing last night and I'm goin to bed tonight at 9pm , lol

just1moreplease · 30/01/2010 20:30

compo im only bored because i know i cant go out tonight. am normally happy to stay in and slob out relax.

aSilverLining · 30/01/2010 20:30

YANBU but only if I can join you

it all gets a bit monotonous at times doesn't it.

mumblecrumble · 30/01/2010 20:32

I think the whole 'kids in bed over half out' is shite..

I;m knackered after 7 anyway but miss company. I usually call people....

Booyhoo · 30/01/2010 20:34

i would love to be able to say i'm going out next sat/blue moon/millenium.

i just never have anything on the horizon to get excited about.

and when OH comes home he sits on the laptop so i dont even get to whinge on MN about being bored.

just fed up with the lot of it. sometimes i would like to be childless and single and i would do it all far better than i did.

i'm just an oul grump tonight.

i wish i had a gaggle of girly mates i could call to come over and just laugh with.

Oh I did it all brilliantly when I was childless and single - in a way I wish I didn't know what I was missing being stuck in on a saturday night, but then in another way I am usually quite happy to be where I am with DS.

I thinking having something on the horizon to look forward to is the key. Also a book waiting to be read and a project waiting to be done (ie a room to paint), some thing to get absorbed in, those are the tings that I use to keep boredom at bay.

aSilverLining · 30/01/2010 20:39

my H key seems to have gone on strike there for a short while!

just1moreplease · 30/01/2010 20:43

silverlining i agree, the only reason am still half sane is because i know i will be escaping the mad house going out next week.

i try to do something with my friends at least once a month. more often if possible.

dp goes out for a few hours every saturday so you think i would be used to this boredom by now.

Booyhoo · 30/01/2010 20:44

oh there are things i could be getting on with, its just that, theyre the same things i get on with all the time rather than getting dressed up and going out with OH or a bunch of girl friends. cant remember the last time i did that.

and booyhoo we are allowed to be a bit of a grump at times. one of the perks of being a women, so i like to think

just1moreplease · 30/01/2010 20:48

can you not arrange something then boo? even if its not for next weeks? is there anything stopping you?

fernie3 · 30/01/2010 20:53

Im bored too so yanbu to moan.
The kids are asleep, my husband is on his computer on the other side of the room doing something that looks very boring for work. I have a cold and now have the horrible pain in my face. Just adding my moan!

Booyhoo · 30/01/2010 20:55

well OH is still away next weekend (posted in england, we live in NI) and my silly (one and only) friend wont come in here for a drink because it will mean her getting a taxi and if i go to hers i will have to either get a baby sitter and a taxi and her husband will be there or i will have to take the dcs out to my mums (way out the other direction) and get a taxi and her husband will still be there or i will have to go and lifet her and not have a drink so i can leave her home again.

it so silly it makes me cross. in fact i should just text her and say "do you fancy coming for a girly drink next sat?" and then if she says no then it's on her.

on the plus side, the following weekend is valentine's day and OH has said he will try and get home so i might get a card if i'm lucky. oh joy!

Booyhoo · 30/01/2010 21:00
