......my dds tamagotchi, who i have loving fed, cleaned, played with and praised for the last 10 days?

it comes to work with me so i can sneakily clean up its poos.

i was rewarded yesterday when my all grown up tamagotchi (who i have raised since being an egg) gave birth to its own baby after having jiggy jiggy with a different species!

whatever floats your boat chimchar. Can I infer from your name that your kids never get a look in on their Pokemon games either. (I always pick chimchar at the beginning of Pearl/Platinum - so I can't talk).

chimchar · 22/01/2010 11:02

lol. i actually don't play pokemon...don't get it at all!!

oooh ohhh. tamagotchi is not happy. off to give her a snack!

Bit of a hijack....
How old do you need to be for a tamagotchi. Is it a bit complicated or involve much reading?
My DD's 5. She's got one of those password puppies - but the voice recognition thing really spoils it (I didn't know there were so many different ways to say "Pip").

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 22/01/2010 13:07

Paisley I think ds2 was about 5 when he got one. It's not complicated atall- just pushing buttons. It's more the ongoing 'care' you have to give it. He got fed up of his after a while and like Chimchar I ended up with it.

YANBU.

I didn't know that they still sell Tamagotchis.

WildSeahorses · 22/01/2010 13:39

LetThereBeRock, I didn't know you could still buy them either. I used to love mine - am now contemplating investing in a new one...

Bucharest · 22/01/2010 13:41

YANBU, I sit with dd's furreal cat thing on my knee in the evening and am always making sure her fish on fishworld aren't hungry.

chimchar · 22/01/2010 18:18

i didn't know they were still around until i father christmas saw them for a fiver each in home bargains and fancied them for the dcs stockings this christmas.

ds lost his within about 3 days. dds has died about 5 times from lack of care, hence the reason why i am now raising the thing as my own! her name is farah [saddo]
