Tsk.

You'd think no-one had noticed.

oh yes, there's a distinct lack of threads about it.

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 08/01/2010 22:39

ROFLMAO

GrimmaTheNome · 08/01/2010 22:40

We're all too busy feeding the birds.

RustyBear · 08/01/2010 22:41

Well, I don't think anyone cares, really....

tethersend · 08/01/2010 22:46

I was thinking to myself... I mean, hospitals don't close- why should schools?

And shouldn't teachers just go to their local school and teach there?

I have many other incisive points no-one else has thought of.

I just wish someone would start a thread about it!

I'm too busy whizzing down a slope on a tin tray eating hot muffins

MitsubishiWarrioress · 08/01/2010 22:50

Has it been snowing somewhere?

tethersend · 08/01/2010 22:53

Only outside lazy teachers' houses.

OP posts:
Cybils · 08/01/2010 22:54

I can't see the snow for all the dole scroungers shovelling it

tethersend · 08/01/2010 22:55

RustyBear · 08/01/2010 23:45

We could go to the empty schools and build snowmen...

Snow? Schools closed?

JaneS · 08/01/2010 23:54

It's snowing?!

I had a dental appointment booked for yesterday at 6 pm. You know what? I got a call in the morning to say it was cancelled because the dentist couldn't get in!

I also popped into our local garage to buy a bag of coal - guess what? Ran out on Weds and the delivery driver (due on Thursday) hasn't turned up yet! On the way back I popped into the co op for milk - Jesus I've never seen such a long queue! Only one till open - most of the workforce hadn't turned up. Lazy bastards.

Oh and the rubbish I put out ready for collection on Weds still has been collected yet! It's a bloody disgrace! I pay my council tax for that! I did, of course, curse those fucking refuse collectors. And I phoned the local council to have a rant too - I mean we all know everyone working there is an ex-refuse-collector don't we?

Oh hang on - what the hell am I thinking. Scrub that - of course everything described above is the fault of the TEACHERS !!!

What if we built new teachers out of snow?

You know I woke up this morning and discovered that it was Saturday and therefore no school and that I would have to have my DC at home all day and why the heck can't the damned teachers make up the two days they had off this week already by openiing up the school today. Lazy fecks. I shall be adjusting my tax bill to take account of this I tell you.

JollyPirate · 09/01/2010 12:17

Tsk! C'mon teachers - we need our free childcare you know.

grenadine · 09/01/2010 12:59

school has now been closed so long (missed the end of term due to snow) I don't think I want to send my children back..am growing accustomed to 8 o clock lie ins every day and the DCs have been improving their writing skills writing thank you letters, playing junior scrabble etc. They are only wearing their ski stuff outside so the washing basket is barely filling up, we are saving on petrol as the car hasn't been used for a week, sledging is cheaper than soft play etc. Could get used to this.

Pikelit · 09/01/2010 13:19

Problem solved. The Head of the school a friend of mine teaches at has realised that you get onto the BBC regional news if you open the school. It's such a novelty y'see.
