to think SIL is a moo-moo

I think I pretty much know the answer to the question but wondered what you guys thought...

Started off with her asking me yesterday what my dh had given me for xmas - i rattled through a few things, didn't really want to say he'd bought me some lingerie I'd asked for (blush) but listed the main bits. She insisted on knowing everything I had got, asking "what else, what else??" so gave her the list without the undies then she said "Oh I see, so general stuff then but nothing really special"! WTF??!!!

I don't think we exactly see eye to eye but this was pretty much confirmed when I received an anti-ageing skin care kit from her for xmas! I'm 28 btw & she's 31! Lol!

I'm not really cross, just amused as its clear she has some problem but what a weirdo! Thought I'd share as its bound to give someone a laugh! Merry Christmas x

lizardqueenie · 26/12/2009 16:01

cornysxmasmuffmusic · 26/12/2009 16:03

It's okay we are mostly impossible to offend.

Uriel · 26/12/2009 16:03

I'd say she sounds insecure over the gifts she received at Christmas, and is just checking with you what's normal.

oldraver · 26/12/2009 17:27

You should of wispered ... well yes I did get something special.. and be outrageous with your answer, maybe a strap-on or some such

BouncingTurtle · 26/12/2009 17:35

YABU to call her a moo-moo.

Call her what she is, a jealous bitch!

Ignore her rude comments, and recycle her present. Now you have a whole year to think of something very evil to get her for next Christmas...may I suggest some of this?

lizardqueenie · 26/12/2009 23:16

'Lol! Thanks guys, ah that's made me laugh so much! Would love to see her face I mentioned something outrageous or silly!

Bouncing turtle - love the idea of the cream, maybe i could do her a "thoughtful" hamper next year full of such gifts!

A bit more pissed off with the fact that she doesnt encourage her kids to say thank you for their gifts, 2 Sylvanian families sets (do u know how expensive they are??) and not so much as a "what do you say?". will be interesting to see if they grow up to be just as rude as their bloody mother. My money is on yes!

Happy boxing day!
