Am staying with mother. I have two small (one very small) children. She has done everything to get us here.

We all have jet lag.
The baby has been feeding every 1-2 hours for the last 2 days.
Last night I got about 3 hours sleep which involved nightmares.
It' my first time home since my dad died.

This morning, she came down stairs with a face that had been slapped. We did present opening and she really brought everyone down. No reason, just wasn't awake yet. really unnerved 4yr old, who is now sad.

She then produced a list of what everyone was doing htis morning. Which included me doing everything that involved lunch other than turkey (ie prepping all the veg etc), but with DH and Brother's help. She then got them doing other things.

I ANBU, but I am bloody furious...........She has now used the entire kitchen to faff around making starter things and ironing a table cloth. I have no room to move.

Am considering divorcing her.

That's all. Happy Christmas all.

PS She then ahd a long shower, is floating around talking to people she invited for drinks (didn't knwo they were coming)... and has a boyfriend already. AFter 40 years of marriage. Oh, and that's not AIBU by stealth, I really don't care, and don't need opinions on it I don't think. Just saying, incase anyone thinks she's grieving and such.

LOL . I'm overseas at the moment and it's Christmas night here - all the stress & shite is over, just a daft movie on the TV and a box of chocs... hang in there, in a few hours it will all be over x Oh - lots & lots of 'Champagne' helped no end!!

ChippingIn · 25/12/2009 10:10

Oh... and of course YANNNNNBU better coming on here for a rant than casing the garden for soft soil....

Thanks so much ChippingIN - I took your advice and had some champagne - even though contraindicated to ADs, and breastfeeding, and felt a whole lot better. Oh, and left her to finish lunch.

I'm SO glad I posted
