To want a present?

I am currently without children myself, although my DP wants them and I'm sure it will happen at some point. The thing is, he has four brothers and sisters, all with at least two kids each, and their family has a policy of presents for the children only. Frankly it has cost me a fortune, and DP has left most of the present buying (and wrapping- gah) to me. I can't help but feel a tad pissed off that I will get NOTHING from his family.

AIBU?

i think you should give them all butt plugs.

used ones, too.

or boxes of condoms. you can get those free in the GUM clinic. then it'll just cost you wrapping paper, and you can use newspaper for that.

DrinkFeckDrink · 24/12/2009 23:26

yes no need to be sarcastic expat, this is a big issues for some of us

expatinscotland · 24/12/2009 23:27

Why not? I mean, those are very practical gifts!

Cheap, too.

Carrier bags make good wrapping AND it's recycling so better for the environment.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 24/12/2009 23:27

Wow. Like heavy an' that.

expatinscotland · 24/12/2009 23:27

They are good ideas Expat- it might make the parents think about non-procreative sex, at least. I will need a promotion at work if they keep breeding at this rate.

Resenting children is a bit pointless, but the parents deserve a bit of flak for not realising that it's not a fair system

Exactly, not! I mean, if they learn to use sex toys early, they might put off the real thing and avoid all those awful diseases and pregnancies.

Plus, getting them acquainted with bum love means cutting down on conception mishaps.

Condoms, however, counter the dangers of bum sex by sending the message that, done properly, it can be relatively danger-free (shite on sheets, penises, jeans, etc. aside).

DrinkFeckDrink · 24/12/2009 23:32

i think you need a drink knowitall and possibly some butt plugs, to stretch and loosen you up a bit

BitOfFunWithRudolph · 24/12/2009 23:32

Gah, I can't keep this up! Yes, it's a wind-up- I thought you had all gone a bit quiet

I love you all

Merry Christmas you feckers- have a great day tomorrow x
