To want to squash my DD...

tethersjinglebellend · 24/12/2009 11:56

...Because I love her SO MUCH?

She is 12 months old and I think it's only just hit me how much I love her.

I also want to eat her feet.

Is that even normal?

AIBU?

feet eating is very normal

I hate feet but have always wanted to eat my babies feet

fanjolinaballerina · 24/12/2009 12:06

No, YANBU. I often get that breathless feeling of wanting to pinch and squeeze DDs so hard that they disintegrate. And don't get me started on their lusciously soft bottoms!

BunnyLebowski · 24/12/2009 12:11

Aw me too with my 14 months old dd!

Her wee cheeks and squidgy thighs and bum.

Babies are divine [frgin]

tethersjinglebellend · 24/12/2009 12:11

Gah. I'm going soft, aren't I?

She's on the floor shouting and trying to post breadsticks into the plug sockets.

Actually, I should probably do something about that instead of sitting here simpering like an idiot.

Oh, that bit at the base of the back of the neck too, and the chubby cheeks .......... yum yum so lovely

tethersjinglebellend · 24/12/2009 12:12

But she's SO LOVELY.

giraffespullthesleigh · 24/12/2009 14:31

Yanbu, i do this with my best friends wee girl. I always say I want to squish her then add...but don't worry I won't!

JoeyBettany · 24/12/2009 14:32

I like to 'savage' my 11 month old dd by growling into her neck and making her squeal with laughter

GossipMonger · 24/12/2009 14:33

It doesnt stop either

I could gobble up my 5yr old ds and ds1 (7y) is scrummy.

DH nibbles their chubby cheeks and they squeal with laughter!

skay123 · 24/12/2009 14:33

Mee too

nothingofthesort · 24/12/2009 14:34

Quite normal. YANBU.

tethersjinglebellend · 24/12/2009 14:35

This is my first Christmas with her (well, she was only 4 weeks old last year), and I think it's making me a bit emotional...

Is it like this every year?

OP posts:
HappyChristmasFromKimi · 24/12/2009 14:37

Not unreasonable at all

MrsSantaChemist · 24/12/2009 14:44

Stayfrosty, I have just spent the morning on nom nomming DS's cheeks. It makes him giggle.

It definitely doesn"t stop. I could melt into a gibbering incoherent puddle just by looking at my 14 year old - but she would give me a stern look and tell me to "get a grip' so I won't.....

Not when she's looking anyway!

And as for my 8 year old ds - he is wearing a black shirt, skinny jeans, a waistcoat and a trilby today (styled by his sister) and he is just adorable!

threetimemummy · 24/12/2009 15:07

No, no YANBU at all!!

I wholeheartedly concur!!

In fact i just showed this to my DH BIL and MIL to prove that i wasnt the batty one!!! ROFL!!

Ripeberry · 24/12/2009 15:07

Very normal to want to eat little squidgy children. My girls are 5 and 7 now and I'm starting to miss their 'baby faces'.
I'm also a CM and I still get special times with my 1yr old mindee and he still loves rasberries on the tummy and playing 'this little piggy' with his toes.

bunnymother · 24/12/2009 15:16

YANBU.

I am completely besotted with my 6 month old DD; her chubby cheeks, her chubby but somehow elegant little hands and her chubby thighs kill me. Even DH commented that she doesn't really react when I kiss her because its obvious I do it all the time! Although she screams w laughter when I kiss her just under her chubby chin. God I love her!

DH is no better. Have had to ask him to please not hug her in her sleep as it wakes her up and makes her very angry.

Right, get off the computer, Bunny, and make the stuffing!!!!

BouncingTurtle · 24/12/2009 15:31

YADNBU

I love snuggling my not quite twoyo ds, pinching his chubby cheeks until he giggles, and kissing the back of his neck, and stroking his soft, silky skin. He is just so utterly adorable!!
Especially when he snuggles up against me and rests his cheek on my arm and says "ahhhhh". I just melt!!

I just love him sooooo much from his big blue eyes to his kissable little toes
