Poor wee soul has had the usual run of horrible colds/sick/etc. Next week, they are in Monday to Wednesday, but they had their party today. I am considering keeping him home next week to avoid him getting yet another ailment which will make his Christmas day miserable and which he will probably give to me. I've spend two months in bed recently due to severe hyperemesis and I ma feeling so much better now that I would like to remain well enough to enjoy Christmas day. After that, I don't really care that much, but I just want a reasonably nice day for us to enjoy.

I am also considering cancelling a play date on Monday because the kid it is with is always snotty and ds usually ends up ill after being with him.. Like I say, I don't ususally mind at all, but I am so exhausted and so is he, wee thing.

YANBU - not as if he is in his GCSE year is it?

On the basis that we broke up today, and therefore, Christmas starts here , I say keep him off!

Plus depending where you are, you may be snowed in anyway by next week

I would keep him off

DD broke up from preschool last wed i think that was late enough, will he be going back then second week in jan?

They will prob be doing fun stuff but luckily at that age by the time the holidays are over it will all be forgotten so he wont miss out

Let him have some limited time playing in the snow broken up with hot choc drinking inside so he can recuperate, some tv and if you are lucky a nap. I have been doing it with mine, and its bliss!

Lol at GCSE year!

Yes, I am thinking a few days fannying about would do us good.

Not sure about the playdate though?

...oh, and yes, I think schools should have broken up today too. Next week seems utterly pointless.
