Just don't let the dog lick you!

nikki1978 · 17/12/2009 16:16

Depends what he has done in the past tbh

Why would you be annoyed with flowers?

Sounds like a small mistake - nothing to get divorced over!

mumblechum · 17/12/2009 16:17

Eeew, did you just get home from work yourself? Nice welcome for you!

sneezecake · 17/12/2009 16:24

just pisses me off he always dose thoughtless stuff like this then thinks if he bribgs me flowers it makes it all better and i wont bollock him.
I'd spent 30 mins trying to get ds off to sleep to be left with that to clean up when he'd finally gone off

OP posts:
muddleduck · 17/12/2009 16:30

Why couldn't he clear it up?

Why would you "bollock him"?

sneezecake · 17/12/2009 16:33

he could have cleaned it up if he was home but was out at work and the house smelled of shit so I couldn't sit in that smell for 2 hours
I'd bollock him cos he just so thoughtless, he half arse dose a job then expects me to finish it off, then he turns round and says 'well i help out with the house work I take the rubish out for one...'

muddleduck · 18/12/2009 09:32

Still don't understand why you would "bollock him".

I know it is never this simple, but if you treat him like a child...

MamaLazarou · 18/12/2009 09:40

Dogs are disgusting. My cat won't even eat certain flavours of cat food, let alone a whole baby's turd.

ChloeHandbag · 18/12/2009 09:42

unfair Muddleduck - he acted like a child.

muddleduck · 18/12/2009 10:07

but treating him like a child won't get rid of the filth but it will (IMO) make him more likely to behave like a child in the future.

BTW I really do understand that in reality things are not this simple, but IME it very bad plan to start treating you (not so D)H like one of the kids. I know this because I tend to do it

RubyBuckleberry · 18/12/2009 10:09

grrrrr YANBU how annoying...

claw3 · 18/12/2009 10:11

He made a mistake, im assuming he will say sorry ie giving you flowers, give him a break.

sneezecake · 18/12/2009 13:45

well the dog got smacked and sent to his bed I know but how disgusting!
DH didn't send any flowers [phew] but did say sorry, forgiven and forgotten

glad to hear that you are now not .

Happy xmas!

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/12/2009 15:08

Urgh at a dog eating a whole turd. This is why I am a cat person.

Effjay · 18/12/2009 15:23

Sneezecake, I think you are being a bit hard on your husband. There's no way he could have anticipated the dog doing that! And if he's trying to put it right by buying you flowers, then he's a lovely bloke. It's the dog that should be in the dog-house, not him
