My dp is such a pig. He'll eat literally all of anything that I buy in one sitting whether it's his or not. Nothing nice stays in our fridge for longer than 4 hours.

Yesterday he ate a chocolate snowman thing he'd been given from work, half a box of quality street and MY chocolate - half abar of dairy milk I was saving. ..andbefore I realised about my cadbury he was trying to justify eating ds's chocolates out of his calendar ( I said " I've got some chocolate in the fridge if you want it" and he said " that's GONE" as if it had evaporated)

It fucking pisses me off I want to buy myself so e chocolateand eat it over 3 or 4 days so AIBU to lock it away ?

What a pig. Hide it.

That's not normal behaviour in a grown man, is it? Does he have some sort of eating disorder?

I would keep a secret stash myself. Probably best to put it with your tampax/mooncup in the circumstances.

My DH is the same! I hide it in saucepans and backs of cupboards .

I don't know about normal it's just the way he is and always has been.

Good idea about hiding it but it annoys me that I should have to.

I like chrismas because I can but mince pies and as he doesn't like them so they get eaten at a normal rate.

It's binging isn't it.. I do it too ( don't we all ?) but is like dp has a compulsion to finish everything, he can never leave anything untill tomorrow..
