I haven't posted before but I am so mad about this need to vent.

I just got my son a 'miller' jacket from the Stella Mccatney GAP collection. It was £70 and I thought long and hard before I did it. I'm not rich or into labels but I decided that I wanted something special for him to wear when I got a set of portraits done. We only wanted one set done but we wanted them to be lovely.

Anyway, I mentioned it to my brother, who told his wife lat week and I just found out she's getting one for her son. She's a photographer so presumably my set of portraits aren't going to be so special now.

I know Its a free country but I can't help being upset. AIBU?

YANBU for being upset at being copied for the second time. There used to be a girl at work who would do this to me, except she would get the thing before me to make it look like I was copying her (for instance a coat I'd mentioned I was getting for my birthday the following week). It was maddening!

YABU if you make your ds wear that horrible jacket. (sorry to be harsh, but I just googled it and was ).

I know people might think it's OTT but I think it's really cute and as it was for a one off and not general day to day I bought it. This morning. It might not be everyones taste but it's a bit harsh to call it.

I told my brother 2 weeks ago I was getting it but they were only released today so I had to order it over the phone. His wife lives in London and he told me she'd gone to get one today.

I feel like I should point out I'm not obsessed by labels and I think my son is adorable whatever he's wearing. I'm just a bit narked about it. I was incandesant when I first hear on my lunch hence my first post!

It is one of the most hideous pieces of children's wear I've seen for a long time. It belongs in the fancy dress box.

Surely you're having photos taken of your son not an overpriced jacket from Gap???

The nicest photos I have seen are when the children are in plain coloured tops which bring out the natural colouring of the child. My sons are mixed race and they look best in photos wearing plain white t-shirts.

This thread is really odd??!!!

Maybe your brother has just told you that to wind you up
