We have been sofa shopping, and found the model we like and have ordered some fabric samples so that we can judge them in our apartment and with our general decorative scheme.
We have a quote. This is a nice sofa and we want to use good quality fabric and the quote is ££££ (in euros, obviously). DP quite rightly said that we should be able to negotiate a discount.
The woman who served us in the sofa showroom was really very nice indeed, and we know people in common. I am absolutely crap at negotiating with women when I have the upper hand - I don't want to deprive this woman of her commission. If it were a man, I would take great pleasure in bargaining the price down as much as possible.
Am I being unreasonable in wanting DP to do the negotiating on his own?
