YANBU - I myself have just opened the xmas roses despite dh being dead against it.

However, his principals do not extend to NOT having any of the roses, oh no, he's had plenty of them now they are open.

Double standards!!

Wineonafridaynight · 15/11/2009 20:51

No! Of course not! Open them now! My mum has the rule of not opening any Christmas stuff until November. So by my mum's rules, you are doing nothing wrong!

famishedass · 15/11/2009 20:52

wineonafridaynight I'm loving your mums rule.

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 15/11/2009 20:52

You buy Xmas goodies in november? How do you have anything left by Xmas?

Wineonafridaynight · 15/11/2009 20:56

haha! I like her rule too! Only we are bad and just buy Christmas goodies with the intention of eating them before Christmas . We don't spend Christmas at ours so why not!

Ummm, I bought 2 boxes of lovely choccie biscuits in M&S when they were BOGOF for DH cousins xmas pressies. They have mysteriously disappeared

Fruitbeard · 15/11/2009 21:09

I bought a tin of lebkuchen in TK Maxx today and they're all gone

In my defence, there were only 4 humungous ones in the tin and I only bought them because I needed a nice tin for a button box and they were £1, so they had to be eaten in order to put the buttons in...

Fruitbeard · 15/11/2009 21:12

Actually it's just struck me that I've been buying bits for the last month and we're not actually going to be here, we're going to a hotel in Liverpool, so that means we can eat them all now!

worldgonemad72 · 15/11/2009 21:16

ive got some chestnuts in so roasting them at the mo instead, all i can think about is the roses tho lol

Had a jacket potato with tuna for tea (being good). Am now off to snuffle search for chocolate.

So YANBU.

Can I have some of your Roses please?

worldgonemad72 · 15/11/2009 21:40
