To encourage DD to get her ears pierced?

She is fed up with constantly being mistaken for a boy. She has shortish hair and never ever wears anything remotely girly. Everyone who doesn't know her automatically refers to her as a him or he. She hates it.

She has actually wanted to get her ears done for a while, she's 11, old enough to look after them herself and off to secondary school in September.

So AIBU to encourage her to get it over and done with? Then encourage her to wear some pink skirts and things? And surrupticiously get rid of all her asexual clothes, her BMX and her skateboard and force her to ballet lessons? WWYD?

Yes. Definitely. Some high heeled slut boots and low cut tops should do with a nice gel bra underneath.

Let her be herself and love her for it even more!

We nearlly got them done today but the person in front was getting a baby in a buggy done so I left in a huff, ranting loudly about cruelty and choice.

I do love her for being her own quirky individual self.

really thoug she does want them done but is a bit of a wuss and keeps chickening out.

I think a bit of a tough age for wanting to 'fit in' now.
If she genuinely wants them done she will do in her own time , don't think she should for mistaken sexuality though!
