To think we really do, as a nation, moan about the weather too much!

When it's lovely and sunny, you all we complain that it's too hot, and when it is beautiful and snowy, you all complain it's too cold.

Why can't you just appreciate the weather?

i don't moan

Unless it's cold and grey and miserable when it's meant to be warm

I never ever ever complain that it's too hot.

MsSpentYoof · 29/05/2009 18:55

I have heard a few complaints about it being to hot, and we have only had a few handfuls of lovely weather so far

Suck it up guys, get your head in gear for a (hopefully) lovely summer

It's a peculiarly British thing isn't it? What on earth would people talk about if not the weather?

juneybean · 29/05/2009 19:01

It's far too hot today tried working on my tan in the garden at work lol

Thunderduck · 29/05/2009 19:20

But it is too hot today.

I much prefer cold or wet weather. I realise I'm in a minority there.

juneybean · 29/05/2009 19:21

I like listening to the rain if that helps lol ?

nkf · 29/05/2009 19:22

There is nothign wrong with talkigng about teh weather.

JeMeSouviens · 29/05/2009 19:28

DH is english, we live in another country at the moment. He checks the forecast daily for where we live, and will always keep me informed of what's about to happen.

It's like living with an amateur meteorologist, personally I like to live on the edge and take each day as it comes.

And then enjoy whatever that day brings: rain; shine; snow; freezing rain; all part of the great variety of life.

Kbear · 29/05/2009 19:32

We complained about it earlier this week as we had a camping trip booked and the previous weekend was fabulous and Tue and Wed when we were due to camp were rainy and cold and windy.

We particularly complained (and might have used a few choice swear words too) when pitching our tent in rain and wind as we didn't have enough pairs of hands or enough children to sit on the the tent and stop it blowing over the hedge into the orchard beyond. LOL

Then on Thursday we woke up to brilliant sunshine and spent all day checking the kids in case they were burning!!

LOVE British weather. How dull for it to be the same every day.

I love days like this. I hope the whole summer is long and hot. It makes me feel happy and relaxed.

Hate wind and rain and cold..ie the last 2 summers.

TheCrackFox · 29/05/2009 19:46

Personally I love hot weather like this. However whinging about the weather is just harmless chit chat.

RustyBear · 29/05/2009 19:48

Where's BadKitten?

She loves all weathers....

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 29/05/2009 19:57

It's hard not to complain that it's too hot when you're 9 days overdue with 3rd baby and covered with hives/heatrash.

Sorry for not flitting about singing yippee for the hot weather

Complaining about our exceedingly mild and clement weather is what we British do

OhYouBadBadKitten · 29/05/2009 19:58

I'm here and happy to have caught the sun a little camping. Though was a bit unhappy wednesday when trying to pitch in the rain with our silly put up the inner first tent.

ChocOrange05 · 29/05/2009 20:08

What else would we talk about??!!??
