To get involved in cat fight?

Early hours was woken by cat yowling...went downstairs and two cats had cornered my poor little moggy in my garden and were quite clearly bullying her.
I know I should let her fight her own battles but rage took over and, at 9 months pg, I chased the nasty little trespassers off my property, let my cat in and made a huge fuss of the poor darling...

I always thought when cats make a noise like that at night, they are having sex!

Your cat was having a 3some! The Dirty minx!

Entirely reasonable - I do this regularly with my silly, silly cats and the neighbour's feisty one......I also rescue their 'about to be killed' furry presents too though - most recently a baby bunny which had shot into our shed to avoid certain death!!

I split up cat fights too - I'm not prepared to foot the vets bill if something happens to my cat!
I did once chase off a fox that was about to pounce on the very old cat of an elderly neighbour

Our last cat was beaten up by a baby squirrel.

We just stood, open-mouthed, too shocked to do anything but laugh.

Divvy, cat sex is not fun for females - the male penis has barbs on it. Female cats would probably be perfectly happy to do without!

(All animal sex is rape: discuss...)

I've spent a fortune at the vets patching up my cat's various bites and resultant infections. If I catch the local bully having a go he gets something thrown at him! Plus, waking you up in the early hours?! How rude!

Our old cat was always getting bullied, esp by this big bruiser tom cat. One day in the garden I charged at him to get him to go away. To my horror he charged back (he was bloody enormous - the Giant Haystack of the cat world) and I had to leg it back inside with this cat in hot pursuit. Lord knows what the neighbours made of it. Decided to play dirty and fill a squeezy bottle with water. One soaking was all that it took!

I think it is lovely that you are defending your pusscat - what's the point of having a pet if you don't love and protect them. Good luck with baby.

I love threads where I read the title in active convos and make up my mind either YABU or YANBU and bustle in to the thread in the sure knowledge that NOTHING THE OP COULD POSSIBLY SAY will change my mind... and then I change my mind .

I thought you meant women fighting outside a night club and was coming in to be sanctimonious and say there was no possible excuse.

But YANBU to rescue your kitty.

I think I would make that noise then also!

Cat rape is not funny!

Poor cat!
