...to not be "Stupid Daddy"?

Many thanks DW, for prompting him and laughing like the proverbial drain when he repeated it back.

Don't feel bad, my sons first word was 'no!' said in a very angry manner with his finger raised

thisisyesterday · 14/05/2009 21:13

i'm impressed that he managed 2 words!
how old is he?

DearHusband · 14/05/2009 21:16

He's just turned 9 months.

Thankfully he's just repeating sounds, rather that the meaning. Still it, was the clearest thing he's said so far.

Least you got a mention. My DTs both came out with 'cat' for their first word and even managed 'tractor' before saying 'mum'. Shows where I figure on their list of important nouns!

Or we could look at what really happened Dear wife made a joke, which you found very funny until dear son repeated it.

I was amazed at how clear it was mind

Hassled · 16/05/2009 08:47

ds's first word was sausages. My mother says mine was 'more'.

ellceeell · 16/05/2009 11:11

ds's was "cheers!"

PuppyMonkey · 16/05/2009 11:21

With DD2, who's a greedy cow at the best of time, her first proper word at nine months was: "More."

mum23monkeys · 16/05/2009 11:29

ds2's first word was "share" - always directed at another person, usually ds1, who had something he wanted. Obviously manipulative instincts.

His first 2 word sentence was "big poo".

dh thinks he's great. I despair.

Tee2072 · 16/05/2009 11:31

My kid has yet to have first words (still inside for 6ish more weeks) by my niece's first word was 'uh oh' while looking over at something she dropped from her high chair.
