To be turning my house upside down looking for a missing lighter?

I'm really cautious with them, having two preschoolers, but it's gone missing from my handbag (I used it and put it back just a couple of hours ago) and I have no idea where.

I would be worried. Have you asked them if they've been in your bag?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 10/05/2009 16:37

Yes and got grins and laughter. I searched their pockets, then the room they were playing in.

YANBU, I would do the same, 2 pre schoolers and a missing lighter are not a good combination, am sure you will find it.

Do that retracing your steps or if you think that one of your Dc have had it, bribe them with a reward for the person who finds it.

Oh thank god, it was on the outside window ledge of my study.

Thanks for suggesting retracing my steps, I was convinced I'd put it back in my bag.

That's good news, though I won't ask why you are hiding your lighter in the same way my teenage sister did when she used to hang out the widow for a sneaky cigarette

hang out the widow

hehe

I was sitting on the sill having a fag (sash windows) obviously took ashtray and fags, left lighter.
