Bought some window cleaner, and its rubbish, really bad....made windows worse than they were.

Am going there for other stuff today anyway, so who thinks I should take it back and ask for my quid back?

Please vote!!!

either:

A: yep take it back, doesn't matter if its a £1 or £100, its not fit for its purpose.

or

B: dont be such a tight wad, its only a quid and I could not be arsed going through the refund!!

I wouldn't bother tbh

Thunderduck · 01/05/2009 11:10

B. I wouldn't bother.

buy an e cloth for windows instead. splash water on window. buff with e cloth. job done.

thisisyesterday · 01/05/2009 11:11

um, i think both! lol
you're right, it doesn't matter how much it costs, if it doesn't work it doesn't work.

but, for £1 I probably couldn't be arsed with the hassle of arguing over it with them

Jaypickle · 01/05/2009 11:14

In principle, yep you are right, it should work and you are entitled to a refund.

In practice I think both the staff and other customers will think you are on day release from the nearest psych ward, and possibly die laughing at you.

But it would be interesting to hear, so I say go ahead and report back!

TsarChasm · 01/05/2009 11:15

I think it's easy come, easy go with stuff from the £ shop. By the time you've got there, paid to park/faffed about etc..I wouldn't bother.

We had this dilema too when we bought some reusable batteries from poundland, put them in our battery charger and they started fizzing so we had to dispose of them. I know they were a quid but you don't expect them not to work!!

redsock · 01/05/2009 11:31

The more I think of some of the tat they sell that people chuck away, the more I think I will take it back for a refund...in fact, sod it, I am going to.

Will report back with detail of looks on faces, tuts or sighs

At least you'll give the other customers a good laugh.

I wouldn't bother. It would probably cost you more to get there than the stuff cost.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/05/2009 13:07

its the principle of it, so i would ask for my money back

but i wouldnt make a seperate trip, so when next back in town, i would return it and complain
