To ask DP for £70 to replace my wii fit?

I bought myself a wii fit for christmas and have used it religiously since then, every day. Anyway DP asked if he could have a go on it. I said no because I know how dopey he is and knew he would break it (or break SOMETHING) but I had to go out, when I came back, he was stood in the middle of the living room, sweating cobs, mucky trackies on with the wii remote in his hand. He then tells me he's not been on the wii fit, he was just 'looking at it' ffs

I tell him "whatever, if you break it, you pay for it".

I then had to endure an hour of watching him. It was so annoying because he was doing it ALL WRONG and it was really winding me up. Like the ski jump, he kept leaping off the bloody board despite it telling him not to jump on it and despite me screaming at him every 5 minutes.

Anyway, long story short, he's gone and bust it and I want it replaced NOW. He tells me he is skint but will replace it at the weekend, not good enough. I told him not to use it and warned him I would want it replaced immediately if he broke it. He didn't listen.

AIBU to insist that he goes to buy me a new one now?

YABU IMO.
I think it is a little Unreasonable to expect him to buy it now .

Yes i certainly agree that he should buy you a new one, and if he has promised to buy it at the weekend, i think that's acceptable as long as he keeps to his promise!

but why are you going out with someone so stupid that they can't understand the simple instruction not to jump on the board when told by you and fit piggy
