To suddenly feel really irratated by the tile pattern in the kitchen?

the tiles are silver with the occasonal white one, it is a tiny kitchen and I have just spent a wee while counting and things and there is no pattern, they are truely random, there is one, then 3 spaces, then another, then 10 spaces. wtf is that all about. grrr.
Goping to spend the rest of then night trying to find a pattern.

That's some impressive random tiling. If I were putting them up I would have to make a pattern, even if I tried not to.

Maybe it's a code?

If you stand far back does it make a picture? Maybe you have to squint cos it's one of those "magic eye" things.

Have a few of them got broken in the past, and silver been replaced by white?

I used to be able to see Asterix and Obelix in the patterns in our old kitchen tiles (70s swirly ones). And once I'd seen them, they never went away. Don't start looking for cartoon characters in tiles - it'll end badly.

youd have a jiob standing back, kitchen is very teeny. I dont know if I am more irratated by it, or by the fact that I havent noticed before.

My Dad's bathroom has wall tiles with an abstract pattern that looks vaguely like a bird and DH insists that 6 of them are the wrong way up - I have only ever been able to find 5 & he refuses to tell me where the last one is.....
