What is a cocklodger?

It's splendidly Jonsonian word, like knob jockey, and I THINK I get it's general meaning, but would like to know more before I take it anywhere.

Never heard 'cocklodger' before - great expression. I might even accuse DP of being one when he gets in.

I am ashamed to say I have Roger's Profanisaurus here and the definition of a cock lodger is "A bloke who lives in his bird's house without paying rent".
