To be extremely miffed at being blamed for a sickness bug???

DP has been throwing up all night, as have his parents, who came over yesterday to help us with some work on the house.

I have to say tho that i'm very p1ssed off - both DP and his parents seem to think that i have something to do with their tummy bug, because they were all here yesterday. FIL said something along the lines of "perhaps it was the tea you made us" (2 cups in two different mugs and MIL had squash and then a coffee) and DP thinks it has something to do with the bowl i left in the sink overnight that did have raw chicken in it, but which was then filled up with water. The next day it was put straight in the dishwasher (once it had been unloaded). Not sure how he thinks that works. Perhaps he thinks i'm going to dunk all our cutlery into the bowl of raw chickeny water just for the fun of it.

DD had a vomit bug on Monday night but I dont suppose they've thought that it was probably DD who gave it to them all. The more i think about it, the more i get!! Cheek of it!

A bit, they must all be feeling really shite.

RGPargy · 11/04/2009 12:53

I expect they ARE feeling shite, but is that any reason to blame ME for their illness?!

We have ahad a D+V bug since Sunday (we being dh, ds and dd not me). We were at MIL's at the weekend and she now has it too. Aparently it is my fault because I took the children there (I had no idea they were about to get sick). And she is annoyed at me because I haven't come down with it!!!!!!!!! Like she wants me to be sick .. Not withstanding the fact I have been stuck at home for the entire week washing sheets/towels/clothes galore and cleaning/disinfecting toilets etc etc!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/04/2009 14:09

they are being a bit cheeky balming it on you

do you feel ok? or is it just dp and dd who feel ill?

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/04/2009 14:10

blaming

steviesgirl · 11/04/2009 14:23

Bloody cheek. If they think you've poisened them all, tell them next time they are over and ask for tea, to shove it up their arses, being that you like deliberately poisening people!

YANBU.

COV - Glad you've escaped the D&V bug too. I sympathise with all the washing etc - i had tons of it too with only one little DD!!

Blondes - yes i feel absolutely fine and so does DS. I'm guessing we have escaped it because we've spent more time around DD, growing immune to the bug (perhaps?). I think the only reason DP and PILs have caught is because they've not seen DD alot this week as DP has been working away and MIL looks after DD twice a week so hasn't seen her either. It's the only thing i can think of as to why we've escaped the bug and they haven't. DD caught it because obviously she's a baby and their immunity isn't as high as an adults are they.

Steviesgirl - i think next time i will tell them all that i've just stirred their tea with a raw chicken leg.
