33 weeks pg and I have thrush and am so tired .
House is a pit and the dc are bored .
DP is now grumpy cos I am been grumpy I can't explain why I am in a bad mood.
He has tickets for him and ds to go to a football match this aternoon and I know I am selfish but I really dont to be alone with the girls again .
If I ask him not to go he won't but then he will be a tit all afternoon and I will end up wishing he had gone .
All I want is a bath a book and bed . .

can you put the girls in front of a dvd with snacks? [bad parent emoticon]
YAB a wee bit U but at the same time not as you are pg and so get to be U at whim.

LauriefairycakeeatsCupid · 11/04/2009 10:30

is there anyone who can come round and help or be entertaining for the girls? - how old are they?

Any chance they're old enough to go to the pictures to see Monsters versus Aliens? At least you can sit in the dark and eat Ben and Jeryys.

TrinityIsGettingABabyRhino · 11/04/2009 10:32

Thankyou I know I am been a pita .
He has gone to town and is buying the girls chocolate some new art stuff and I am getting a book and bubble bath .

The girls ages are 9,7,6 and 3 so quite tie consuming atm . DS is 11 .

Any GP's around that can have the girls for the afternoon whilst you relax? Failing that couldn't you bribe them with the DVD and snacks etc if they clean and tidy up for you?

LauriefairycakeeatsCupid · 11/04/2009 11:17

you're about to have your sixth

am in awe at your parenting

whinge away ffs

mumof2andabit · 11/04/2009 11:20

I would second the dvd idea. I only have 2 at the moment (3 & 1) and I frequently a bad mummy and give into the thrills of pixar as if I don't myself and my spd baby bump will go mad lol

lizziemun · 11/04/2009 11:35

I'm with the DVD and snacks for your girls.

Me very bad mother i been putting a 'boo' dvd on for dd2 (19mths) and letting dd1 (5yrs) play on daddies nintendo so i can have a rest as i just had ds (4wks) and it taken me this long to get back to normal.

Laurie - love your post, I didn't even laugh that much on the Penguin thread!!

Comewhine - isn't there anyone who could come over and watch them for the afternoon, while you sleep/read a book/have a bath in peace?

IF absolutely not then...if there's a DVD you can convince them they all want to watch go for it, else the 9 year old is old enough to be told how you feel and that you need a rest, so to amuse herself at least, 7 & 6 should be able to find a DVD they can watch together and I find threatening the 3yo with an afternoon nap if she doesn't play quietly works a treat

OH and whatever you do, let them go to the footie, it's not worth the agony of having them stay home... just tell DH he is on tidying up the house duty when he gets home!!!

(for the thrush, have you tried rinsing/washing in warm salted water... better than any over the counter stuff IMO)

Comewhinewithme · 11/04/2009 12:37

LOL Laurie .
I got a burst of energy and cleaned the house 1 dd is dressed and dp has fetched back the art stuff and 3 dds are happily drawing . DD4 is sat next to me giving me evils because I just turfed her off the laptop .

DP & DS are off to football in a while .
