dogs in the school playground

there is a no dogs policy at dd's school.

when i went to collect dd1+2 today, dd3 wanted to go with me. we passed the dogs outside the gate no problem.

then dd3 trots on a little bit ahead and a great big labrador (biggr than her, she is 4yrs old and small, in age 2-3 stuff still) knocks her flying. it didnt hurt her, licked her glASSES, but did scare her.

was i bing unreasonable to send the owner outside the gate with the dog to wait?

of course you weren't being unreasonable

Of course you weren't!

yanbu - we have a dog free zone around the playground because not all children like dogs and not all dog owners are responsible

oh good, as i was not impressed. it shocked me as well.

the lady said sorry, i said 'ok, but there are no dogs allowed in the playgound could you wait outside please'

she probably thought i was a bossy cow lol, but she did go.
