It so bloody cold here, my hands are like ice, i have been keeping the heating right down (to 10 degrees)

So i keep popping back into bed to warm up

Wear lots of layers - seriously does keep you warmer. Drink plenty of hot drinks and as others have said do ironing/hoovering to warm up a bit.

I sympathise though as my house is freezing and we're on calor gas which is very expensive.

And keep doors shut to preserve heat in rooms. Also i sometimes have a hot water bottle on my lap if sat watching tv or reading. Golly don't i sound a glamourous housewife

Oh just one thing though, I'm not sure how old your DS is (think he's a toddler?) but those microwavable things are really dangerous for children, if they split the filling is toxic.

thanks TDWP, we cross posted there

I would shut doors but none of then have catches on, so you can push it too but it won't stasy shut unless you put something behind it, i have to tie the handle of DSs door to the banister to keep his door shut at night, this is something else i have asked them to look at which has been ignored.

DWP - eek - i have taken it out tonight and will look into getting a hot water bottle for him, i don't really want to give him the one i use when it is really cold because it is in the shape of a penis (was bought for me as a rude secret santa gift)
