To let DD go to pre-school with cough/cold - she's so excited about Comic Relief!

Under normal circumstances this afternoon DD wouldn't be going to pre-school as she's got a snotty cold & cough. However, she's so excited about the prospect of wearing her PJs to pre-school for Comic Relief today I am tempted to let her go.

As long as she doesn't feel unwell or has a temp no YANBU. Wild horses wouldn't have kept my lot away today!

I tend to send my dds with coughs and colds unless they are really really poorly with it - dd2 tends to get her first cold around October and that's her until March really so she'd never be there!

Send her if she wants to go, she'll be fine.

YANBU - can't keep children off because of a common cold.

If your dd is well I see now reason why she should miss pre-school

Plonker · 13/03/2009 10:01

no reason ...sheesh

ForcesSweetheart · 13/03/2009 10:02

Thanks folks, it's not so much her I'm worried about as she's perfectly happy in spite of it - more the thought of her giving it to everyone else.

Share and share alike - consider that she probably caught it from one of the other children and you won't feel so bad .

coughs and colds are part of life, unless mine are obviously under par I just carry on as normal.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/03/2009 11:01

agree coughs and colds are every day occurance

if dd was that ill then nursery will ring you up - but sure she will be fine

hope she enjoys her pj day
