I'm coming down with the flu - again. Hardly slept last night as really sore throat.

DD has been a nightmare all day and taken forever to get to bed.

DH has been at work all day and won't be back til midnight.

Have family coming over for lunch tomorrow - have managed to prep most things so won't have too much to do tomorrow - but I have used practically every utensil and saucepan in the kitchen - I've filled the dishwasher but can't face doing the rest.

AIBU to go to bed now and leave the rest for dh and I to clear up in the morning?

yanbu, but you might regret it in the morning, unless you can persuade DH to do it for you before he goes to bed! Could you maybe ask him to at least empty and reload the dishwasher when he gets in so there's less to do in the morning?

Sleep well!

not unreasonable at all
in fact you should have taken your self off to bed already
now off you go
with lots of fluids

LadyOfWaffle · 07/03/2009 20:29

GOsh yes leave it! You will feel better (hopefully) about it then, and DH can help. I leave mine from time to time and whizz through it in the morning Get well soon!

Dish washer will still be there in the morning, go to bed ad worry about it tomorrow

YANBU. I do it all the time, and I'm not ill. Take a couple of paracetamol and get a decent nights sleep.

MissisBoot · 07/03/2009 20:34

Great

DH will be on his last legs when he gets in - he did a 20 hour shift yesterday so I think I would be being unreasonable to expect him to do anything other than crash on the sofa if he gets home on time.

Night all

Off to hit the Night Nurse

Hope you're feeling better today

YANBU - I do this often - by the evening I am so exhausted I can barely move! So the kitchen often gets left til the morning.....does that make me a bad person?!!!

Hope not!

MissisBoot · 08/03/2009 19:22

Poor dh didn't get in til 4.00am so I let him catch up on some much deserved sleep whilst I finished cleaning the kitchen this morning.

I've now dealt with the worst from todays meal and am now off to bed with more night nurse - and saving rest of the pans etc for the morning...
