having to endure that bloody woman's voice, and that bastard green alien to boot!

Im sorry I know this has probably been done before but...Cebeebies and the lovely skye. I mean, im sure she is a lovely person but HER VOICE is going to send me to the funny farm. High pitched, affected and sounds like an over-enthusiastic baby sitter who you know your kids are just going to run rings round. I can't stand it....and for one minute i thought she was going to do the bedtime song, i mean - that would be just WRONG!!!

I'm sorry but she is going to have to go!

And if that's not bad enough it's followed by Third and Bird, which as a life-long bird lover has me reaching for an airgun.

bran · 20/01/2009 19:14

They are both irritating aren't they? Jelly is fine in her programme but not as a presenter, but the woman (Sky?) annoys me even when she's on the Green Balloon Club. I wonder if that's her TV voice or if she speaks like that in RL (surely not).

FfreckleFface · 20/01/2009 19:39

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Any mention of...that bloody programme that follows ITNG....means that I have the irritating theme tune going through my head for at least three days! Thanks articlemming

That inane woman distracts me from my worrying about poor Makka Pakka and his OCD.

wotulookinat · 20/01/2009 19:54

Lol at Makka Pakka and his OCD. Bless him.
Skye is very annoying, but means well.
And I'd rather see her than bloody Sarah-Jane!

hambo · 20/01/2009 19:56

Oh you are so right. I can't bear her and the stupid green thing.

Aaaaargh

squeak!

nickytamoshantertwotimes · 20/01/2009 20:00

I agree.
I have now lost the upper ranges of my hearing due to exposure to the helium-fest that is Skye and the green thing.

bran · 20/01/2009 20:10

Bring back Sue I say! Does anyone else remember Sue? She was nice and normal. She didn't over-act, have a squeaky voice or give the impression that she actually hated children but couldn't get her career moving in any other area of TV.

LucyEllensmummy · 20/01/2009 20:23

Was Sue the one who got pregnant?

I really like the third and bird theme tune

Third, third and bird, where the birdies meet, high above the street to sing twidly tweet, on third third third, third and bird .

If Sarah-Jane gets a position as a presenter then i am going to put Cebeebies on my banned list on my digi box - she is a strumpet and a harlot (because DP fancies her and goes all daft whenever she is on the TV - i am NOT impressed!).

I think we should have Granny Murray for the bedtime hour. And while we are on the subject, can somebody PLEASE explain to me why Charlie and Lola has been moved from the bedtime hour sedation period to the hour that i can't remember what they call it but the bounce and leap type hour??

I think the head honcho at ceebeebies is having some sort of breakdown.

oh third and bird drives me insane round and round it goes, thanks LEM, not.

bran · 20/01/2009 20:44

No Ava was the one who got pregnant and never came back. I don't think they ever forgave her for the continuity nightmare that she caused. Sue went in the cull before Ava, along with the pretty black woman who's name I've completely forgotten.

FfreckleFface · 20/01/2009 20:56

Damn you, LEM.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN YOU!!!!

(where the birdies meet, high above the street...)

Ffreckle smashes head against wall to try and get rid of song

treedelivery · 20/01/2009 21:00

Sarah-Jane
Sarah-Jane
Sarah-Jane

It's like a nightmare.

LucyEllensmummy · 20/01/2009 21:27

I think its the pig tails that do it for DP - ive tried my hair in pig tails but it makes me look a bit derranged!! I wonder if she wears her hair like that when shes not on the job - or when she IS on the job - its not a nice thought i can tell you.

Third, third third third and bird Mwaaahaaahaaahaaahaaaahaaa

They will be playing "this little light of mine" at nursery in the morning i just know it - it will be my "punishment" for this thread. I'll be fecking singing it all day - not good walking down the street, people just assume im happy clappy!

I saw '3rd and Bird' for the first time this week and I LOVED IT!

I hate Sarah-Jane too; simpering irritant that she is. Not seen Sky yet though.

LucyEllensmummy · 20/01/2009 23:48

Oli, you think SJ is a simpering irritant? Sky is simpering personified. Well no, its just her voice and the sort of attitude adopted by someone who has been left with children to look after but really doesn't have the foggiest idea what to do with them.

Olifin · 21/01/2009 10:32

Lol! Will have to check it out!

ladyhelen2 · 21/01/2009 10:49

I must be a bit slow here, but have only just realised Chris and Poi have gone....in the style of Points of View, why oh why oh why did they have to meddle with the Bedtime Hour???????? It worked so well. C and P, Charlie and Lola, ITNG ( which I loathe but its good for the bedtime wind down) and then story and the lovely lovely bedtime song. It all worked so well.
Sky is dreadful. Couldn't they just move one of the other presenters or even show repeats of C and P?

LEM - if you moved to the Midlands you could see SJ on carsupermarket.com (or something like that) ads, with the most ridiculous two tone hair style ever. Blond over black. Bleaaaaagh.

Deemented · 21/01/2009 10:52

Chris is in Panto down here in my home town - i met him just before christmas when i won tickets and a meet and greet with the stars. He's lovely. Sigh.

Poi is also in panto somewhere too. I don;t doubt they will return at the end of January.

It's Skye's grin that gets to me, if it was any wider ther top of head would fall off! And how does she manage to speak whilst grinning like an idiot? Perhaps that's why it comes out so squeaky.

hambo · 21/01/2009 19:11

igivein - heheheh

I had been pondering the very same question!
