I need some slippers for DS. He's 9, needs a size 3. He hates the mule type, and I don't want him to have the ones that look like animals claws, cos he's clumsy and will finish up in a heap at the bottom of the stairs in them.

I've tried Next, clarks, and googled for them (boys slippers apparently only means little boys, up to size 12)

I could do with buying online if poss, with returns if they don't fit.

Well I don't know where you stand on the whole crocs issue but for the first time ever I have been able to get DS (7) to wear slippers since we got him the crocs with fleecy inserts.

Buda, where do you get those?

How about something like this? - DS likes his, and they go all the way up to adult sizes.

oops - just tried that link and it goes to the main page. Search for 'fleece socks'.

What about getting some normal soft shoes and declare them indoor shoes - that's what I did for my "slippers" and tbh they're more comfortable, more practical and have lasted longer than any kind of slipper I've had before. Got some with a rubber sole/suede uppers so they still look sort of slipper-like (at first I typed "slippery" but that's a whole other meaning ).

I got the best pair ever from John Lewis, after year they're still going strong and look like new......(they're just too small now lol)

Don't know how to do links - but cut and paste below - it's Brantano, about 5 designs of size 3 boys slippers - Spiderman, WWF, Bart Simpson and Daleks if that's any use.

You can order online and return within 28 days if necessary.

clumsymum - we got them in a shop in Taunton last summer. A lot of places had them. They do get very smelly though. But you can just throw them in the washing machine.
